Fear is paralyzing…
I remember as a single mom on food stamps and government aid I prayed to get a great job (while struggling with fear of poverty the whole time) and then once I GOT the job I would struggle with fear that I was going to LOSE the job I just prayed to get!
What a viscous and debilitating cycle.
Fear is such a liar.
Know how I overcame all that?
Everything changed when I realized my job was not my source.
God is my source.
He is my provider.
He holds the cards of my life.
When I shifted my thinking to recognize my true provider, I became unstoppable because I started to do things that were risky and creative and wonderful…and as I took each step forward (even though I was afraid) the blessings would pile up and the fear would shrink away.
I opened my first business at 35 and it blew up. Three years later I started a marketing company where I had the privilege of ghostwriting for some of the biggest personal development coaches and pastors in the United States. Today I get to work in addiction recovery and help others overcome some of the things I’ve struggled with.
Needless to say, the girl on food stamps and government assistance is long gone.
And it wasn’t because of my education or my connections or any of that.
It was because I realized who my Source was and I made the decision not to fear. I decided to place my trust in the One I knew would always take care of me.
…and He has.
…and He is.
So whatever fear you’re struggling with today, remember…go higher.
Go past the fear to the One who provides and heals and protects you. Go to the Source…He is the CEO of your life and He is a very good Employer.
Take those steps forward.
Just do it.
Decide to trust Him and do that wild, risky wonderful thing He is calling you to do.
You’ll never regret following His call.
You’ll never regret going all in with the One who went all in for you! He already gave His life for you. Don’t be afraid to trust Him with yours!
“The Lord delights in the prosperity of His people.”
