Yodeler Motel, The Perfect Base Camp for Adventures Around Red Lodge, Montana
Located right on the Beartooth Highway, The Yodeler Motel, just minutes outside of Yellowstone National Park, offers lots of pleasant amenities that make it a pleasure to visit. We’ve loved it for several of our visits to Red Lodge, Montana because of many reasons, not the least of which, is that its clean and impeccably maintained outdoor spa is relaxing for a long soak after a day on the slopes or after exploring the great outdoors in one of America’s most spectacular National Parks.
Our kids always appreciate that Wi-fi is free throughout the property. Well, okay, we do too. The vending machines and ski wax room are also a plus as is the coffee, fridge, microwave, and cable in each room. This little Bavarian-German base camp establishment is cute, charming, and the hospitality is wonderful as is the case pretty much everywhere in Red Lodge, Montana.
It’s not fancy and rather no frills, but very comfortable, immaculately clean, and perfectly central to everything in town no matter what time of year you visit. Whether you are blessed to find yourself in Red Lodge for a week of fishing, skiing, hiking or golf, the proximity to all the best Red Lodge has to offer, is perfect for any vacationing family, couple, or single.
For a nominal $5 fee, pets are welcome in about half the rooms at the Yodeler, and the property is even motorcycle-friendly, with rags and wash area for motorcycles.
All the unique history, excellent dining, adorable shops, and activity of downtown Red Lodge are within a few comfortable minutes of walking the charming streets we love to browse for great shopping and eats. Convenience and hospitality could not be better for anyone visiting the beautiful area.
The gracious and welcoming owners Mac and Tulsa Dean are not only exceptionally friendly and schooled on the Red Lodge area and eager to share all the excellent outdoor activities it has to offer but they are a unique breed of innkeepers who value their patrons and strive to provide heart-felt and genuine customer service rather than a corporate style motel model. “Corporate free and groovy since 1961,” is their slogan.
Red Lodge is one of our top favorite Montana destinations that we try to return to annually. The Yodeler Motel is a consistent favorite little lodging gem of ours and will surely be yours as well.
