IS THE DEVIL YOUR VACATION PARTNER?

So there’s this Scripture that tells us:

“And give no PLACE for the devil”- Ephesians 4:27

What does that mean exactly?
What is it to give him a place?

God showed me that we create a space for the enemy with our words. We carve out spaces for him to dwell.
Maybe we say something like: “I’m always anxious” or “I get the flu for two weeks every year” or “I always lose my job.”

We’ve just created a place for him to dwell.
As soon as we say the words he says “thank you for the reservations. Thanks for getting my room ready and creating a welcoming place for me. Don’t worry…I’ll be there twice a year just as you say.”

The Bible tells us our words bring life or death.
Our words create spaces.
Our words give permission.
Our words give the enemy his assignment.

Maybe you said “I always relapse.”
The minute those words hit the universe the enemy took them as his marching orders and started his assignment against you; completely legally.

Today is a good day to ask God if you’ve created any spaces or given the enemy any assignments in your life.
If you have…repent. Cancel those words!
I literally go around saying, “I break those words in the name of Jesus!”
May sound silly but think about it…
This is our life.
We’ve got one shot at this.
Let’s not stall our purpose and create ridiculous obstacles by speaking curses, sickness, mental illness and poverty over ourselves!

But it’s really happening, Robin…
It’s my reality.

Well CHANGE your reality with your words!

The Bible says “let the weak SAY I am strong.
Let the poor SAY I am rich!”

Why?
So we can look like idiots?

No.
So our words can change our reality!

If your life doesn’t look like you want it to, it’s time to put a guard over your mouth.
Speak life!
Agree with God’s plan!
It’s good.

My disability kept me from doing most of the things people my age can do. I had heard of and seen service dogs and what they can do but it seemed way out of my price range as most non-profits charge over $12,000 for a service dog that can do the tasks I need.

I had heard about Carmel Mooney and how she had trained over five dozen service dogs successfully around the country. I found four people on the west coast who she had trained dogs for who let me come and meet their dogs and see them in action. Then I hired Carmel Mooney to help me acquire the perfect dog and to train it. The cost to coach with Carmel and have her help me train my own service dog, was a tiny cost compared to getting a service dog from a large national organization.

Noah’s Story

Carmel Mooney was highly recommended to us by several families she had trained service dogs for. We were amazed when we met some of these dogs and saw what they did for their handlers. Carmel helped us with finding the perfect puppy from a reputable breeder. She did a special temperament test with each puppy in his litter to narrow down the right dog for us to choose and then began coaching us through obedience training when Rowan was only 9 weeks old, which took about a year. When it came to the advanced task training, she coached us and taught us how to train Rowan to do exactly what our son needed for independence.

Noah can now do so many things we never thought possible before. Rowan is a wonderful addition to our family and has opened up limitless possibilities for Noah. We can travel now, and spent the holidays with our family on the east coast and we even traveled by airplane with Rowan and had no issues. I have suffered from generalized anxiety and Asperger’s and didn’t think college would be a goal that I could easily attain.

After getting and training my service dog Beethoven, I am now in my third year of college, thanks to Carmel Mooney.

Carmel coached me through the process of getting the right dog through temperament testing, socializing it, and then task training it to assist me with my challenges. We are part of a group of graduated service dogs that Carmel has trained and helped people train themselves. Belonging to this group of other service dog owners, has helped me overcome some of my social deficits and it keeps Beethoven on his toes as well, especially when we do drills and outings with the other families and their dogs.
