The Demonic Side of Yoga
Yoga, a spiritual practice with roots originating in Hinduism, is an open door to demonic activity, torment, oppression, and influence.
Anxiety, confusion, illness, spinal issues, spiritual vulnerability, communication with demons, poltergeist activities, and disobedience to God are some of the most common manifestations that result from engaging in Yoga.
Deities are unclean spirits or demons. Many people who partake in Yoga erroneously believe that these deities help them. Every Yoga pose is rooted and grounded in demon worship.
Much as one cannot write Bible verses on Tarot cards or on a Ouija board to make them Christian or holy, the spirituality of Yoga is impossible to separate from the act and poses. 1 Corinthians 10:21
Former Hindu guru Rabi Marharaj warns, “No part of Yoga can be separated from the philosophy behind it.” Therefore, if a Believer participates in Yoga, they are practicing Hinduism.
The fact that the Enemy is using Yoga to invade the minds, bodies, and souls of earnest seekers of health and wellness cannot be denied. 2 Corinthians 11:14-15
It is no coincidence that Hinduism is considered the oldest religion and that it is based on the same lie that the Serpent told Eve in the Garden of Eden.
The terminology used in Yoga is both metaphysical and religious with idols and exercises specifically designed as meditative techniques to develop and enhance occultic powers.
It is grossly negligent for God’s people to participate in paganism and blasphemy. Believers must consider it their primary duty to serve the one true God and must live as examples to fellow Believers by the way they conduct their lives.
A Believer in Jesus must consider the message that their participation in Yoga sends to the unbeliever if they choose to devote their time, money, and energy to any form of demonic deity worship. A spiritually discerning Believer and follower of Jesus Christ cannot justify participation in Yoga any more than they can justify partaking in any religion, custom, or practice that prays to or worships anyone other than the God/Yahweh and Jesus/Yeshua of the Bible/Torah.
There are “Christian” churches that offer Yoga classes through the church. Many Christians do not believe that their “Christian Yoga” class could pose a problem. These same Christians eventually learn the harsh reality and suffer severe consequences. The Kundalini spirit is only one of many others that commonly gains access through these disciplines.
Partakers of Yoga open demonic doors by worshipping and paying tribute to gods and inviting them into their life.
Cursory research into Yoga reveals that the poses, exercises, bows, names, and energy beliefs, have strong anti-Christian meaning, significance, and deep spiritual roots.
The positions and practices in Yoga, are specifically designed to allow spirits to enter the body, although many people engaging in Yoga, are completely unaware.
Yoga means “to yoke.” The postures themselves were designed as offerings to gods and Yoga was meant to yoke a person to the false god “The lord of Yoga.”
The Bhagavad Gita, a sacred Hindu text, teaches that supreme joy comes to those who practice Yoga, because they become one with the Hindu god Brahman, the cosmic consciousness and creator of the universe.
One of the purposes of Yoga is to raise the coiled Kundalini energy through the chakras in the body. Hindus believe through this Kundalini serpent power, that they can become divine.
The purpose of Hatha Yoga is the awakening of Kundalini (subtle energy), leading in through Sushumna (the central energy channel), and advancing through Raja Yoga to the deep meditative absorption called Samadhi.
Yoga is deceptively disguised to be a practice that could elevate its practitioners to a level of better living. Truthfully, Yoga is a practice rooted in the art of dying. Yoga participants are trained to stop thinking, empty their minds, and to detach from the physical world. John 10:10
Yoga poses are executed to glorify 330 million Hindu gods, goddesses, and demons. Romans 12:1
The physical positions used in Yoga are deep spiritual acts. The sun salutation worships the sun, which in and of itself breaks the First Commandment.
Warrior 1,2, and 3 poses worship Sanskrit Virabhandrasana. This Hindu deity was a murderer. It is a very specific pose and done with meticulous intention.
The Death pose and guided meditation worships Shavasana and denotes a corpse.
Many people initially attend Yoga classes in search of peace, relaxation, and health. But eventually they open themselves up to demonic entities through their rebelliousness, deception, blasphemy, and idolatry.
Even the chanting and “Ohm” worships the universe and the original vibration of the universe that all other vibrations are able to manifest.
The practice of putting one’s hands together and bringing the hands to one’s heart in a mudra is done to seal namaste into the heart.
Another purpose of a mudra is to activate and create a circuit of prana in the body. Believers should only desire to be sealed by the Holy Spirit.
Garuda Mudra is named after the eagle that Vishnu, the lord of preservation, rides.
Prana Mudra elicits the vitality that is believed by some to reside within the prana, or life force.
Tattva Mudra reminds one of the beliefs in the true nature of the Self, or that the fundamental essence, is transcendent, unchanging, pure, and whole.
Ganesha Mudra is named after the Hindu deity who some believe removes obstacles.
Namaste means “The god within me recognizes and honors the god within you.”
It is impossible to mix Hinduism with Christianity. Attempting to do so gives legal permission for demons to infiltrate one’s life.
The biggest critics of those who unveil the dark truth about Yoga are typically those who profit financially from Yoga or those who use it in a vain attempt to acquire what only God gives, but through a counterfeit.
An honest survey of Yoga proves that it is an idolatrous practice developed from a lie about God’s true nature and identity. Every one of the stretches/poses is designed to worship, represent, involve, or invoke a specific Hindu god. By practicing Yoga, one is engaging in actions that bind/yoke themselves with these individual gods to prepare their body and spirit for death and ultimately for reincarnation.
Stretching is fine but not in the context of Yoga.
One could certainly isolate Yoga-type stretches much like Pilates and might incorporate beneficial movements without the spiritual baggage if discernment and caution are utilized. But doing them in the series of movements that Hindus use for worship is dangerous. Believers should not be preparing their bodies for reincarnation, yoking themselves to false gods, or verbalizing mantras associated with such practices.
If a Believer does choose to do Yoga-type stretches, they would do well to consider not doing them at a Yoga studio. Doing so would be like going to a pagan temple and participating in whatever rituals the pagans are doing while telling themselves that they are somehow different.
It is much like when Paul talked about meat sacrifices to idols. He said if you buy this meat and it is the result of a pagan sacrifice, it is all right, go ahead and buy the meat and feed your family. The meat has no power. But he went on to say that we should not participate in the pagan worship that sacrificed the meat. We should not go to the pagan temple and participate in the sacrifice because there is a false god/demonic power behind that practice.
Those who partake in Yoga are worshipping very real entities. They are seduced and deceived into idolatry. 2 Corinthians 6:14
Yoga is a gateway, often used for seemingly innocent reasons that eventually leads to New Age and polytheism.
Most Yoga enthusiasts claim that they are more psychically aware, clairvoyant, and admit that they are seeking to open their chakras. Most are chasing inner peace.
Chakras are believed by occultists to be energy centers or energy wheels and those who believe in them believe that there are over one hundred of them. The seven primary psychic gates are believed to go from top of head to the base of the spine which release the Kundalini spirit thereby supposedly perfecting psychic health. The pineal gland is a real gland that controls hormones but according to false doctrine, it is a third eye in the Hindu belief system which is a divination and New Age practice like Numerology and Reiki.
People who practice meditation, Yoga, or submit themselves to various chakra initiations unwittingly open themselves up to demons and demonic oppression in their lives. Many report experiencing energy pulls, shifts, sensations of heaviness, heat and cold, out of control body parts and bodily functions along with countless other demonic manifestations from inviting Hindu gods, and demons into their minds, bodies, and souls.
There are seven psychic gates in the human body that occultists call chakras: The crown of the head, the forehead between the eyes called the 3rd eye, the throat, the heart, the navel, the sex organs and the anus.
A former high-ranking occultist and Yogi revealed that these seven psychic gates (chakras) are sealed by God and opened by man through sin. When they are opened, demons pass through these gates or doorways, in large numbers.
One man, who had been dedicated as a child to Hindu gods, converted as an adult to Christianity, and was studying to be a minister in seminary. He sought deliverance because he was hearing condemning and tormenting voices. He had been a Yoga practitioner for many years and had attempted to “open the 7 gateways.”
This man’s gateways were wide open. God gave the man a dream and revelation that a Hindu deity sat over each chakra:
Seven: The Crown—Shiva
Six: The Third Eye—Hakini
Five: The Throat—Savashiva
Four: The Heart—Isha
Three: The Navel—Vahni
Two: The Sex Organs Vishnu and Rakini,
One: The Anus—Brahma.
During deliverance from the demonic torment that he had experienced, the man discerned that demons were running in and out of each of his gates. Through deliverance, he closed the gates by casting out each of the seven deities. This was finally accomplished by addressing each entity by its Hindu name. As they were addressed, they were cast out and the demonic entities manifested with roaring, cursing, and screaming.
Thankfully, the man was completely delivered of the torment he had experienced.
After being delivered, this man also reported that at one time he had projected himself into the bodies of weak pastors through the first gateway, the anus, Brahma. Once he entered the pastor, he would then evaluate the pastor’s spiritual power through their aura.
He further explained that this was accomplished in a matter of minutes. If the aura was a certain color, then he determined that the person was weak in faith. Commonly, he found the power of pastors was weak from unrepented sexual sin and fornication.
This ex-Yoga practitioner warned in his own words, “There are many men, women, boys and girls who are ravening wolves or agents of different demons, operating in different churches all over the world. The presence of such agents in Christian churches will always guide astral spirits on how to advance their manipulations against Christians.”
He also went on to share that the sins that open the seven gates are:
- sexual intercourse with a demon in a dream or sex with a prostitute
- drugs
- visiting a fortune-teller
- receiving healing through occult powers
- reading occult books.
- Anger. (By anger, demons transmit certain diseases or sicknesses. Demons will manipulate people to seek solutions from witches and occultists or psychic healers who themselves are agents of demons in disguise.)
Witches and warlocks, who practice astral projection often enter one or more of these seven spiritual gates with their own spirits, and function as if they were a demon spirit. Those skilled in deliverance have had success with not only casting out demons but also casting out human spirits from a captive that resulted in a demonic soul tie.
Hindus teach that Yoga is an evangelistic piece of their faith. Yoga is the means they use to spread their message to the non-Hindu world, to make converts. If a Christian knew that they were attending a class to be taught the basics of Hinduism and that the intention was to convert them, they might hesitate to partake in such false doctrine.
The Bible warns Believers to avoid even the appearance of evil. Emptying one’s mind to seek things inside the spirit is foolish. While a person may try to Christianize Yoga, it cannot be Christianized any more than Hinduism, Buddhism, or Islam. It comes from a poison root. 1 Corinthians 10:21
Through my own deliverance ministry, one devout and spiritually mature Christian woman shared with me, that after her second baby, she wanted to get back into shape as she was experiencing hip issues related to her pregnancy.
She tried a few sessions of Yoga, never quite feeling peace about it. Surprisingly, she found the Yoga made her hip problem much worse. Her chiropractor told her, purely for physical reasons, “No more Yoga for you!”
She quit Yoga and began to study Yoga’s roots and principals. She was convicted that her body is a temple for the Holy Spirit and cannot be shared with the spirits in that practice. She now warns other Christians about Yoga.
While I have never been a Yoga fanatic, prior to being trained extensively in deliverance, I saw no harm in it as exercise. That was until I learned and thoroughly studied the history and true meaning of Yoga and what the various poses represent on a spiritual and religious level. When I understood the seriousness and significance, there was no way I could ever partake in anything associated with it again.
After more than two decades in deliverance ministry, helping hundreds of people around the word, I have seen firsthand how the demonic realm uses Yoga as an entry point and a means to torment, harass and oppress its followers. I have had countless deliverance clients and close friends who have had spine issues, back problems, and other health related challenges, who found immediate relief and freedom once they renounced Yoga, repented, and cast out the associated dark entities that had infiltrated their lives and spines, from their prior participation in the exercise.
My latest book was recently published on this subject. The catalyst in publishing this book were the countless people I have coached and helped through the deliverance process, who once suffered as a result of engaging in Yoga and other occultic practices.
I am now, more than ever, of the opinion that the best and safest pose anyone can do, is to get down on their knees.
